At Insegro, we don’t try to “out-engineer” nature. Instead, we’ve built a quiet, efficient home for one of the planet’s most remarkable recyclers: the Black Soldier Fly (BSF).
Our process is a simple, circular journey designed to give back more than it takes.
1. The Natural SparkIt begins with the Black Soldier Fly, a species that doesn’t carry disease or bite, but possesses an incredible natural ability to upcycle organic waste. We simply provide the right environment for them to thrive.
2. Gentle EngineeringThis is where my 27 years in production come in—not to dominate the process, but to support it. We use state-of-the-art technology to ensure temperature, humidity, and nutrition are perfectly balanced. We see our facility as a “living factory” where stability meets biology.
3. Closing the CircleThe result is a high-quality, sustainable protein and nutrient-rich organic fertilizer (frass). What was once considered “waste” is returned to the food chain, reducing the pressure on our oceans and lands.
